MUSIC WORKSHOP
2
April
Dates: 2/4 - 08/4/2017
The second learning workshop will be in Navàs, Catalonia, 2-8 April and the topic the students will learn about is sound and music.
We will take with us not only the modern art pieces created but also a documentary film about the traditional music from our own country.
The Catalan music teacher is specialized in different ways of innovative music, so the learning activities in Catalonia will allow the pupils to know about creative music and sound production as well as mixing, edition, and recording of sounds which the teenagers will later use in their virtual museum together with their works of art.
The students travelling to Catalonia will later teach the other students in their countries, so they can all move forward in the sound part of their museum.
GarageBand
This workshop was focussed on creating sounds with a variety of materials that are linked to historic topics from the project. Students recorded metallic, wooden and rocklike sounds into GarageBand and used the Live Loops feature to add contemporary instruments and make new music.
Students rehearsed and recorded a live performance of their songs using FX features in GarageBand.
